Taxcient™ Inc. Announces New vCERT® Integration Services Product Offering

-New vCERT add-on enables data management automation, including exemption certificate data export into tax decision software and customer records import from enterprise resource planning (ERP) and billing software-

SAN DIEGO – Jan. 22, 2009 – Taxcient™ Inc., a provider of online solutions and services for sales and use tax compliance, today announced vCERT Integration Services, a new add-on for the vCERT product suite, its revolutionary software as a service (SaaS) platform for exemption certificate management (ECM). Designed by former state tax auditors, vCERT once again sets the standard in managing sales and use tax exemption certificates.

vCERT Integration Services enables clients to dramatically improve efficiency by eliminating manual data import and export tasks, thereby reducing errors that lead to sales and use tax audit liability. Unlike traditional ECM products, vCERT integrates with tax decision, ERP, and billing software quickly and easily. Because vCERT Integration Services provides a secure application programming interface (API) that is not limited to a specific programming language, it extends greater choice and flexibility to vCERT clients looking for a data management and automation solution. vCERT Integration Services also supports simple common tools similar to FTP, to control, automate, and schedule data management tasks.

The latest release of vCERT also includes two major new features: The ability to batch download, print and save exemption certificate images for archiving or auditing purposes, and support for digital capture of Canadian exemption certificates using the one-of-a-kind vCERT wizard user interface.

Important enhancements included in this latest vCERT release:

    vCERT Integration Services:
    • Export exemption certificate data into tax decision software including Vertex, Taxware, and Sabrix
    • Import customer records from ERP and billing software including SAP and Oracle
    • Automate, schedule, and control data management tasks using a simple web API or simple common tools similar to FTP
    Support for Canadian Forms:
    • Enables sales-tax-exempt customers to complete and submit Canadian exemption certificates digitally using vCERT’s unique wizard-based user interface
    Batch Download Print and Save Certificate Images:
    • Batch download print and save exemption certificate images directly from search results for archiving or auditing purposes
